5-Day Self Defence Training Programme from 22nd October 1-2PM
The Sports Committee of Law Centre-I, in collaboration with Anushthan Theatre and Drama Society, organised a 5-Day Self Defence Training programme from 22nd October to 26th October, 2018 (1:00pm to 2:00pm). This free camp was for all the interested students as well as faculty staffs. It helped foster a sports culture among us all. It was also aimed at helping us lead a healthy life, make us self dependent and self reliant and to boost our confidence.
Four Delhi Police trainers came to train students and a certificate of participationwas awarded to all the participants each from the Delhi Police and college administration.

1. Mr. Jeet (Head Trainer/Coach)
Age – 29 years
Experience – 10 years
Achievements – Black Belt in Taekwondo from South Korea. Black Belt in Kung Fu and Wushu from China. International Player of Kickboxing, Taekwondo, Muay Thai. Represented India in International Taekwondo Championship in Vietnam in 2009. 3 times world champion in Muay Thai (Thailand). 3 times Gold Medallist in Taang Soo Do. Represented Indian Army (Services) in Wushu for 6 months. Coached Indian team for South Asian Games in 2011. Coached a player who became the youngest Indian outside the Indian territory to win the WBC Title in Professional Boxing.
2. Mr. Wangkhem Leishemba Meetei
Age – 28 years
Experience – 6 years
Achievements – Black Belt in Taekwondo from South Korea, Bronze Medallist in International Taekwondo Championship, 3 times National Champion in Taekwondo, 4 times state level champion (Manipur), selected by Sports Authority of India (SAI) from 2007 to 2009 as an international player, Coach of Manipur state in Taekwondo, Coached 5 players who got selected in National Taekwondo Championship.
3. Mr. Rahul Kumar Meena
Achievements – Black Belt in Taekwondo (South Korea) and Karate (Japan), 3 times national level player in Wushu, Gold Medallist in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) organized by O-Sports Federation.
4. Ms. Riha
Achievement – Black Belt in Karate, 3 times represented India at international level in Karate
